How did we get in our current situation? Here's how: When the Democrats showed their true colors you got angry and elected Republicans. When the Republicans showed their true colors you got angry and elected Democrats. When anyone suggested to you that both parties were corrupt and that neither side were looking out for your interests you acted like they were crazy. But the real definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result.
Any questions?

By not paying attention, and believing LAIRS!
The media has the best liars of all, even more so than politicians.

I'd like to expand on this and say I think paying attention to the politicians is like keeping your eye on the shiny swinging silver prize and that the real problem are the corporate interests that put these pos's into office in the first place.
Of course now that politicians are people, according to our supreme court(whom also is bought off), it will get even worse.
Have to be very careful who you consider electing and where the $ comes from. I haven't looked into it but I heard recently that the tea party is taking money from the koch brothers so much for that idea. I don't know if there's any hope left on the national level but then again things seem to be corrupt in my area starting with the peon county commisioners. 2 of them were yelling about strip clubs and at the sametime opened one. I have the opinion a large % of people that get into these positions are out for themselves only.
