That's neat looking stone. Looks like Larimar which is only found in the Dominican Republic. Pretty desirable stuff. Outside chance its Ajoite, but I'd put money on Larimar by pictures alone. Have you performed a hardness test on it ?

I agree it looks a lot like Larimar slabs I have had.

It took a steel file to scratch the stone. I knew it took a long time for the saw to cut. Grinding on the Genie the water looks milky. Thanks for the id's so far. BeLinda

Well, if a steel blade scratches it, that's a good sign pointing towards it being Larimar. Steel is moh's 5.5 and I believe Larimar is 4.5/5. Much softer than steel. If you can, turn the lid of your toilet tank over and scratch it with a piece of your material. The streak should be white, but since the ceramic is also white, there shouldn't be any noticeable color in the streak I would guess.
