Well, i finally managed to finish up a small batch. This is all local stuff from one location about 20 miles from the nowyo compound. A lot of it is pretty fractured and pitted when we find it, learning more about being selective if nothing else. Some of it turns out pretty nice, some of it will become driveway gravel. The whole mess. The whole mess again, re-shuffled A few selected stones-not necessarily the best, just some that caught my eye in the limited time I had to mess around. Still working on my pikchur taking. Some of these little boogers have some depth to them that just doesn't show up here. Thanks for looking. Russ

Cool tumble Russ, I especially like the grey one with swirls in the second to last picture!

That stuff totally reminds me of what I find here in Illinois. Always fun to do our local self collected stuff. Thanks for the post.

There are sure some pretties in that pile!! I'm thinking some pendants needs to come out of this batch.

nice job for a starter batch, the rocks seem pretty well smoothed off and I don't see a lot of cracks or pits. Nice stones too!

Great stuff, always rewarding to tumble your own finds.

Thanks, folks. Funny, I was thinking a few of those might make decent pendants myself. We're going to try getting some more rocks on Sunday if the mud isn't too deep, and the tumblers are running now.
