I don't know if this is true for others, but my cab making goes through different phases. Sometimes I just want to preform, rough a few cabs and sometimes, though rarely, I see one from cut to polish. This is one of those, self collected on the california shoreline.

pleasing shape and looks like a great shine. Self collected is an added bonus.

Pretty stone, love breccias. Yeah, sometimes I am not finely tuned artistically. . . On those days I clean up rough for the rotary tumbler.

Not just any ole cab! The ones you self collect are always better- or so I hear. There are no rocks where I live- well, none worth beans to cab. We have sand and clay. I agree, I love breccias, too and that's a nice one.
