Got back from the dog park today, seen this and brought it home......its not very big at all...I don't know much about petrified wood I sort of thought it would be heavier than it was when I picked it up.........what do yall think?

In a way,it doesn't look like petwood....Could be jasper....

It might be wood...Your pictures are nice and clear, and close-up, but there's a bit of a orange/yellow cast to it. If you were to wet the specimen and maybe take a pic in natural outdoor lighting, if possible, I think we'd have a much better shot at ID'ing it.
