The dimples in the second pic are worn down chalcedony. The rock was probably in a stream or river at one time.

Henry; Locality info may be useful. #2 looks like river worn fire agate to me.

Sorry about that Scott. The second photo is the same stone as the first photo. It was found at a location called "Point Pinole", San Pablo Bay South, San Francisco Bay Area. This is a small photo of the general area. www.ebparks.org/Assets/files/u10/Pt_Pinole.jpg

Hey Henry, my guesses on the pink stuff are sand stone or pet wood.

The locality probably does. stoner can you shed some light on these materials local to you?
