The first two pics I swear there is gold in this rock you tell me....
This next pic is what I found out of 1 lb of pay dirt I got from Alaska....I haven't repanned it yet I think there may be a few specks I missed but im fairly confident in my panning...
The last a gift from my father, gold/copper/silver ore

First two just look like rocks to me, so no telling if there is gold in them without crushing and having it assayed.....

I expected to hear this, I seen it with my naked eye though and thought this will be hard as hell to photograph....It might be in my imagination but I think I see gold in that rock...but like I told someone Its not worth smashing up, its all I have and all I ever will from that piece...ill just keep it in my collection

well it looks like theres some little sparkles in it, anyways.. never saw gold except in jewelry, is it a sandstone or is it some sort of quartz? (the rock in the photo) even the photo background seems gold.

Looks like sandstone, could have gold flecks- maybe you could scrape at it abit and pan it to see? Maybe poke the gold flecks with a pin if they're on the surface- if they crumble, it's probably pyrite, if it dents, it's gold. Might need a loupe to watch what happens.

Its hard to tell since they are small specks, but I used my pocket knife and used a loop...and it appears to have put an indention in one of the flakes ....I wonder if its just on the surface.....its on both sides......or if it goes all the way through the rock
