Nice finds, I really like the stalactite patterns on the slabs from the first piece. Keep on hounding.

My Nephew has a great area on the Yellowstone to find these unusual rocks.....

I get one slab off each rock I cut....Trying to think of what I could do with the 1st one...It has to be something that will knock a guys socks off.......... I left him half of the rock's for polish and display,slabbed the other half... That way when he gets on his feet and buys equipment,he will have material to play with too..... Every six months or so,I send him a goodie box of Oregon material,he is sticking it away for future purposes...LOL (Says he drools a lot now)...LMAO

Mike, I find nodules like that too. I personally believe them to be wood/replacement. Those are way nice.

Mike, I find nodules like that too. I personally believe them to be wood/replacement. Those are way nice. My Nephew found the zone where he gets quite a few out of the river..Hoping to have a few in my collection soon...Wood/replacement huh,that's a thought...
