the top rock looks like crazy lace with a sagenite top layer.

Thanks - I think the colors are completely wrong for crazy lace but I could be wrong.

I'm thinking crazy lace too. There are unlimited variations and as the old material has become depleted, I'm seeing lots of atypical stuff show up at the shows now. Probably stuff from the #2 pile at the mines that was previously set aside as not being traditional lace. Couple of years ago at the San Antonio show, a guy showed up with a whole pickup full of crazy lace that was all very atypical for the species, very little lace pattern and lots of coarser bands, waves, and splotches of color. Your example is very like what he had for sale. Think this new material they are naming "Serape Agate/ Jasper" is actually this #2 crazy lace stuff as it sure looks like what the guy had in his pickup. Interesting marketing strategy. As number one material gets more scarce, take the reject, #2 stuff from the mine piles, give it a fancy new trade name and Walla! charge good prices and develop a new market....Mel
