what did you use for the white back drop? They look like they are floating.

In my quest for the perfect picture of my contest rocks, I tried a bunch of different things. This was really simple. I went to a fabric store and bought some cheap white cloth with a fine weave. You can see it in some of my pictures, but I think the black rock made the cloth wash out. This was taken in a light tent with an incandescent bulb on the lower left and a really bright halogen work light on the upper right.

Absolutely great polish, and the pic. is super too. No excessive reflections, very professional in both regards.

Thanks everyone. Mark, my only tip is to listen to Krystee's (TNTMom's) tips. They are here. Thanks Krystee!

Great tumble and an outstanding photo. After trying to get a good picture of my contest tumbles (and falling short) I am trying to visualize what you describe as your set up here. Any chance you could post a picture of your tent and lighting? Thx :-)

Have some obsidian in rough now and would be happy if it turns out as "pretty good" as yours.
Most excellent batch and shine. Very good picture as well.
