I think the tumble and the pics turned out great! I just wish there were more shots of the ones with the eyes, nice tumble!

We're going camping tomorrow. I'll try to get some better photos posted on Sunday. The Botswana with the orange center looks pretty cool when lit from behind. I put another batch in the fine grit today. It's been 20 years since I did any tumbling. I kind of forgot how much fun it is. The 12 pounder is going full time on coarse grit now. There are a few in this batch that need to go back for a better polish.

Hard to tumble better than those. Round and high gloss, you remembered well.

Thanks Toad, miander, junglejim, jamesp, henry, carloscinco. I got a few better photos of my favorites. Finally figured out a way to get some descent photos with an iPad. #1 - Botswana agates. #2 - Botswana agates, different view. #3 - Lake Superior agates. #4 - Montana agates and Crazy Lace. I hope these photos look better than my original post. Thanks for looking. later Brent

Oops Here's the Montana and lace. If this shows up as a duplicate photo, you are just going to have to trust me that I have some Montana and lace. Photobucket isn't cooperating right now. Either that or I just don't know what I'm doing. Later

Thanks Nick 1nickthegreek. The 12 lb tumbler is cranking them out in coarse grind. I have another similar grind going in 600 and another batch waiting for the 3 pounder to get cleaned out. A twelve pounder and a three pounder are a good combination for fast polishing. Maybe when I retire, I'll get a 40 pounder and use my twelve pounder for polishing. It seems like larger barrels are more efficient at coarse grinding. here is a photo of the bruneau slab I was telling you about. It's still on ebay but a little too expensive for my taste. later Brent

Thanks Brent, suppose I should saw some of the nodules that I have and see if I can be so lucky!!! LOL I am trying to get a 12 pounder rigt now, may even go with an 18 or 24 just to keep my lot-o fed since I am getting a double lot-o here next month so will definitely need more barrels to rough tumble since I can hardly keep up with my single lot-o and have 18 pounds of rotaries to feed it LOL
