So, just finished up a mixed obsidian batch in the Lot-O today and shot some pics with my cell phone LOL Please ignore the ghastly looking right foot, I have cellulitis from some obsidian fragments that my leg ingested while I was spalling a different batch of Ob for the tumbler A couple of my favorites now!! Love the teal and purples in this piece of rainbow!!! Most phenomenal gold sheen Mahogany I have ever tumbled, just kept it in the same shape it broke into!!!! No idea how tntmom photographs her obsidian so well, but this piece has more layers in it than any of the others....new batch of double and triple flow is rolling right now in prep for the vibe that is going to run some agates for the next couple of weeks LOL Thanks for looking!!!

Sweet looking obsidian. I think the teal/purple is my favorite.
You have any trouble with the rough grind?

Thanks for the compliments, I love the teal/purple as well, just wish it were easier to photograph the rainbow Obsidian!!! I have had a little bit of trouble just from it fracturing the prime spots off of the rough during the coarse grind, so I just added more water and ceramics to the rotary and they are staying very close in shape to the original. Lotto 220 grind gives me NO troubles whatsoever if that is what you are referring to.

The skill stone. Well done Nick. If you can tumble that you got the knack.

I like to refer to obsidian as flavored because there are basically endless flavors that are available and I am trying to obtain every flavor out there!!! LOL

Wow Nick.
Excellent job on that obsidian. I have just about given up on tumbling obsidian. I have never been able to get a polish anything close to what you produced. I also got tired of it blowing the tops off my rotary tumblers.
Good work.
