That's my best guess. I found it half buried in the dirt along a river about a mile up stream from an old Axe factory (collinsville axe factory) At first glance I thought oh look glass slag, dug it out and put it in my bag. Just took it out to clean it off and it's way too lightweight to be glass so I thought maybe some type of melted plastic. If that was the case it would have melted when I held a lighter up to it and it didnt. Any other suggestions? I'm not sure how heavy anthracite is, this thing probably weighs less than 2 quarters and is the same length as 2 quarters lined up side by side

Ps, has the same hardness of a penny, they scratched each other
