Hi Everybody, My shipment of polished Afghan Lapis Lazuli has finally cleared customs. For some reason, U.S. Customs likes to do inspections of shipments coming in from Pakistan. No idea why... Anyway, my friend is picking them up from the warehouse this afternoon! I thought I'd post a couple pictures of them, just to whet your appetites. :-) Jeff

A sea of blue. Very pretty material, rxscram! Do you have enough room in your dresser for the lapis? Just kiddin' with you. Lookin' forward to seeing your creations with the material. ...For some reason, U.S. Customs likes to do inspections of shipments coming in from Pakistan. No idea why... ROFL!

Why are they purchased polished? Is it one of those rules that the material has to be worked before it can be exported?
Beautiful material by the way.

I bought them polished because that's how I always see it at Quartzsite. Also, I just think it's a lot prettier that way. :-)

I'm not sure why U.S. Customs warily inspect shipments from Pakistan but this load must of made their day
