Paul Revere of Paul Revere and the raiders has died in Idaho at 75. He was kind of a local legend, one of the first NW rockers.

I went to see them around 1967 I believe at a concert in the Texas A&M basketball arena. Damn,I'm gettin' older! They were cool,I mean groovy!

My grandson has some Native American in him. I played "Cherokee People" for him. He had never heard it before. It brought a tear to his eye. When your music is able to move people like that, you never really die.

I'm old enough to have seen them at the Nat. Guard armory in Hillsboro, OR, big gig for them then. Always a good show. R.I.P. Paul.

Tom Petty who just released a new album and is on tour did a tribute to Paul Revere & the Raiders at a recent concert.
