I have the first two batches out of polish (UV18 and Gyroc 10). These were ran in a 90 lb rotary tumbler for 3 months with 5 lbs of grit and no grit changes and then 2 days in the vibe with OMG2 polish (available from John at JSGems). The batch before this one I only ran for 40 days in the rotary and it was not quite enough to get rid of all the pits (bucket on the right). A couple close up shots I have a 90 lb batch of Bruneau jasper in the rotary right now going to run it for 6-8 weeks, just kind of depends on when I get time to change it. Thanks for lookin..............Tony

Nice batch. So, you don't open the barrel for 6-8 weeks? That is a time saver. I'm really looking forward to the Bruneau batch.

Sweet batch! Love the large scale tumble info, thanks!
How does the gy-roc compare to the uv? Volume, speed, and it costs a lot more doesn't it?

Thanks everyone! Nice batch. So, you don't open the barrel for 6-8 weeks? That is a time saver. I'm really looking forward to the Bruneau batch. Rich No I don't open it until I think it is ready to move on to polish. Sweet batch! Love the large scale tumble info, thanks! How does the gy-roc compare to the uv? Volume, speed, and it costs a lot more doesn't it? The Gyroc is a 10 lb tumbler vs the thumblers 18 lb, they both polish almost the same, same amount of time, the gyroc does throw a belt occasionally which the thumblers never does Andy, I can give John a call if you want me to check for ya.
