I stumbled across this photo taken when I first rescued my slab saw, and had to post it as a sad (or laughingly funny) state of a blade. Apparently the blade had been bent when the saw had fallen over and someone had straightened it a bit. I never tried to let it rotate. But I'm assuming some folks here will have heart palpations at seeing a saw blade with this kind of deflection. Keep them straight and clamped tight. Tom

Sheesh, looks like a pancake being flipped in mid air! Would hate to think what would happen if you tried to use that.

Man, I'll bet that rascal might just have a bit of wobble in it. I bought an old saw one time with a badly dished blade. Decided to try it on knapping slabs of obsidian just for the heck of it, as obsidian is really easy to saw. Blade went through the rock but the cut was like twice the thickness of the blade due to wobble *L*.....Mel

Maybe it was for an automatic dome on the slab as it came off the saw. T

I have fixed a couple of blades and straightened a lot of steel but I would not try that one. If you can fix that one you are a way better fixer than I am. lol I would really like to watch you so I could learn how to do it the right way. Jim

I had a baseball shaped/sized agate slip out of the vice and made an 18 inch blade look about like that. Total loss.
