I've had silver filled reticulate like that. It can be tricky to anneal.

Daniel, I'm wondering....................do I dare try it again, just playing to see what results I get. Almost worth it to "mess up" another piece.

I really like the effect you got with the silver filled. I like the chain links on the dragonfly piece quite a bit as well.

Those copper items appears as fossils, the patina you created gives a aged effect. The funky melt could lead to a lot of interesting pieces, it is eye catching.

I like all of them but the silver one is my favorite. Not only because it looks great but because it was an experiment/mistake and I think we can learn a lot from doing things like this.A lot of us have never had any formal training in any of this and learn by our won mistakes.Sometimes good,,,,sometimes bad but we do learn. Hit the silver again!!! connrock

You could roll a finger on top of copper and get a finger print. Watched people run those before. They get a saddistic grin on their face as the victim goes into it.

No, still short on funds at the present time, esp with Christmas coming up. Perhaps I'll take a better look at it towards the beginning of the year.
