That is 1dave1dave captbob. That photo cracks me up, basically just harassing him. The good news is that jamesp is smart enough to change it back in a few hours before he completely loses his taste creds. I made the mistake of using James' image for a few seconds and STILL have women calling me! fibber

Are you trying to get my (Yawn) attention? I'm trying to understand the difference between asteroid and comet impact craters. Most meteorite and asteroid craters are ringed circles. I think the Spider Crater in Australia must have been made by a small multi-bodied comet!

My wife is still angry about the calls still coming in from the last time - even though it was only up for a few minutes, then the phone started ringing off the hook! Was it the wet tee shirt?

I have stomped around on a 200 acre field(SW corner of Hwy 8 and Dozier Rd. It is 530 above sea level. Gravel pits full of creek rock are along Dozier rd. Said to be deposited by the impact. Field on east side of impact, SEE of Wedowee. Lots of creek gravel, up high @ 530 asl. Odd. I think the object came in from the SWS. Soil is sand laden red clay. Kinda raises the hair on your neck thinking about the violence of the event.

naw, it was the sincere blue eyes. Hard to tell if eyes are sincere or content holding someone underwater. Happy for sure, in my coral paradise. That day 100F and humid out in river and full sun, the 70F spring was too nice.

There has been speculation that the Gulf of Mexico was created by impact. Recent theories say tectonic causes. I wish it were impact, more exciting. It's boring geologically here in the south. Just a bunch of worn down old mountains. We have to live on the bowels of the mountains. ha. Boring ole granite. Excepting Florida and south Georgia. But bowel study interests me too If the mountains are worn away so much, it makes me wonder if impacts are worn away too. And any visible impact craters in this area may have been whoppers if they are still showing signs. They say Wetumpka object was 1000 feet across. Dats big. There is a theory that claims a gulf of Mexico impact pushed the coral I find up on the center ridge of Florida. I doubt it. It occurs in large clusters mated together as formed. Who knows. The creek pebbles covering the ridges at Wetumka Al. intrigued me. If I find a creek pebble on a ridge in this area it usually has grind marks on it that a native man used as a mortar, carried up from a creek or river.
