Yes it was a name from the depths of my brain for fear of misnaming it. I have about 11 slabs so far and probably another 5 to go from the remaining piece. This may be the stimulus for setting up a lighted area appropriate to the task. Every slice was unique and bizarre. Cheers, Tom

Tried cutting it at 90 degrees from your current cutting surface?
save your $$ and forget special lighting. I bought a light box, 3 special lights, backgrounds, etc. My best photos still come from using the macro setting on my kitchen table in natural lighting with the picture window behind me.

That's beautiful material, Peruano! Have a terrible time taking pics of rocks, too, especially opals and gemstones, and usually take pics outside in the sunlight.
