Had a friend of mine order a new HP 24 inch saw and called me to see if I would like his old one I said maybe what do you want for it. He said that if I wanted it to come get it and I could have it! It is a Star Diamond ST-20. A 20 inch with new blade and power feed! I picked it up Sat. and cleaned it and checked it out the split nut and rod is stripped but everything else works great. Getting my brother-in-law to make me a new split nut. Will get some pictures up later! Anyone know where I could get a parts list or know any where that sells parts for it?

I think Star Diamond morphed into Diamond Pacific, they may have parts. If your feed screw isn't totally screwed (pun intended) it may be possible to clean the threads up with a chaser die. If not they're easy to make, correct thread in grade 8 allthread rod and an hour or so on the lathe.

And kap have your friend go over his new HP saw for assembly issues. If it happened to be one that came off the line while John was there to inspect it and set it up it may be fine, but they have had a lot of fit, finish and set-up issues. I hope they fixed the oil leak issues with the big saws. Well, there's always drip pans.

You couldn't talk him into a better deal? Maybe transportation and set up?

Yes he is a good friend we dig together all the time I got him started in rocks years ago. Rockoonz thanks for the heads up I will be helping him set it up so we will watch out! I will check with Diamond Pacific.
As far as the split nut my brother-in-law made the last one for him so it should not be a problem I just need to find the threaded rod and fit it in.

Great score on the saw, worst case scenario is you have to have a machine shop do the threaded rod.
