Well that stinks, where was that picture taken? I'll take a day of empty handed hounding over a day full of sitting at home watching TV anyday.
Better luck next time!

Coming from Florida, if I see a low tide an wet sand, I see opportunities! Those dredgers kick up alot of fossils an strange agates full of little treasures buried in the shallows for millions of years.

I have been hounding at Graves Mountain when it was spitting snow and sleeting but I have not hounded with snow on the ground. Hounded once on Dale Hollow Lake the temperature was 12 degrees, cloudy and windy. My wife and I looked like two teddy bears hounding. Was not suppose to be that cold, but it was. I try not to go hounding in cold weather. Bones are too old and hurt ! ! I would not dig in the snow for sure ! ! !

After having a good laugh, I walked over to that lonely rock and picked it up. Turns out to be a nice piece of red granite. Its a keeper.
