I was wondering how long I need to leave my cabs in the polish and then how long do I burnish them form it is just a 3# rotary tumbler. Thank you for the help.

Never have done cabs in the rotary. Shoot never done cabs at all. Anyway in my 3# rotary tumblers I always tumbled my rocks for two weeks in polish. Feldspars and other "softer" material went three weeks. The burnish I always ran for about 24 hours. Hope this helps.

Just read here a bit. Most people burnish from an hour to 48hrs depending on what they have.

After an hour on burnish check your rocks, or just "forget" about them and let em go for 2hrs and you should be good.
This is for a vibe tumbler. Just read some more tumbling topics and you'll get a feel for what you'll want to do. There's also an instruction guide stickied for rotaries.
