So is that white/ivory coloration sort of opalescent/pearlescent in real life. What makes it plasma agate? I'm not doubting your classification - just wanting to learn what to look for. Nice big slabs. Tom

Plasma agate is the name given to serpentine/chrysotile bearing agates found in Clear Creek California. snowmom come out here for nice weather and collect some for yourself. It's formation is similar to other agates, the cool part is it formed over chrysotile/serpentine and those in various colors (blue is nice!). I hazard to say it is a California analog of Pietersite.

Don't be stealing snowmom from me Scott. If she goes south she has to come coral hunting with me. You know she is worth quarreling over. she would probably be happier with the plasma agate, and your hospitality.
