Nice finish! Love the eggs too! That area has a high alien population Ian. Been saying that for years. The eggs favor some of your Scottish agates with eyes. Perhaps more outer space activity in your hood.

They are done ! photos taken in greenhouse which mutes the polish. Basically took a thin layer off with 80 grit and then AO 500 to polish. Preserved close to the way rockpickerforever found them. Just shinier. some set aside to tumble hard in the rotary. The center seems to have many features and colors when sawn. Solid wood. thanks Jean James, they weren't all exactly as found. A couple of them were hit on the flat lap. This one I just polished one side
And this one polished smooth
Not sure if I sent you these or not, I think so
I like the natural texture as well. And yes, the wind does blow pretty good in the desert. Lot of sandblasting going on. Not too good for truck windshield and windows.

Yes, I have that one. I could tell it was manipulated. Those alien eggs are super smooth too.

Your rockpickerforever pet wood and alien eggs are beautiful tumbles, jamesp. I especially like the pet wood tumble that looks pear-shaped!! Thank you for answering my question concerning the 2-step method. James, even though Karo syrup is made up north, there used to be Roddenberry's in Cairo (syrup, pickels, and peanuts). The mascot for Cairo High is a syrup pitcher (not kidding, lol) and they are called the Syrupmakers. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cairo_High_School

I have often wondered if Karo was named after Cairo. you guys grow bunches of sorghum gingerkid. SW Georgia has some of the finest crop soil. Sweet soil and friendly folks down that way. Always enjoy my stays in Valdosta.
