To us beginners on tumbling-check your equipment often,if not everyday...I checked the tumblers out yesterday..... Heard a weird noise coming from my 45C Lortone, but shunned it off.The 3A Lortone was fine.... Today I checked out the tumblers and found out what the noise was on the bigger tumbler,it was a belt ready to break!!! The smaller tumbler did a puke on me!!! LOL Cleaned up the mess, and the 3A is rolling again-Thumbs up... The 45C is down and the belt has been ordered.....Ordered one for the 3A too.... The 3A............ Cleaned up and ready to go again.... After I get the parts for the 45C,it will be stripped and cleaned, before I start it up again..It needs it! Thumbs up

One of the gambles of tumbling Michael. Looks like you caught it before it ran dryer and bruised your babies up. I was going to say take note of that sound but I believe it sunk in your brain well. Hope it was a slow leak,; if the cap pops off or worse a fast leak it will sure bust your rocks up, almost trash them.
One of my barrels ran up against the end and rubbed a big hole in the cap and ran all night dry, but full of rocks. It chipped and frosted them terribly; I basically canned them.

You should check/clean the roller bearings too. Easier to clean and relube than it is to replace shafts and bushings.

The flex seal is like a repair kit for a simple fix-till you get the repair job done the right way.... It's a silicone base spray that works for awhile, than you start over-LOL.....

That's a head scratcher as to agate and jasper having a blowout fossilman. Usually that stuff doesn't gas off. Thanks for the info on flex seal. Commercials looked too good to be true.

I'm sorry to hear that your motor is bad on your large tumbler, Fossilman. Sure hope you get the motor replaced asap. Did you place oil in the oil ports on your motor before you started tumbling?

It was already to go-a buddy bought a bigger one and gave me this one-he was working it a week before he changed out... I'm still going to take it apart and look at it-I'm pretty good at making things work...
