got two of the big ones done one came out with some scratches so its going back in at 220 grit arizona utah a campcreek oregon limbcast well to the next batch !

Bravo, roy! Don't see any scratches in your Arizona pet wood. Crazy about your limbcast and spotted a dendrite or two in the bottom of it.

Pet-wood is my favorite! My only regrets is that by the time I found the time to even look for the stuff, let alone play with it, I somehow turned out to be an old codger and the long hikes are no longer any part of what I call "fun". I still find pleasure in working with the pet-wood that I buy, but it's obviously not as good as if I could say I collected it myself. Thank goodness others are willing to sell or share their finds.

Very nice! Beautiful materials. How long for the 220 grit? depends on the slab and how well the cut was if its not straight or has saw marks then i would start at 60/90 but most times i start at 80 grit then go 180,220,400,600 then to the dry sander to check for scratches the on to the polish laps
