hi, These are the colors: in settings in stone: Dark green, some black points, transparent green, white lines stone: attracted to a magnet A more accurate picture. Easy carving What kind of stone.? thank you

Could be garnierite, nickeliferous limonite, niccolite or another nickel-based mineral ore.

Some jade has included magnetite crystals which makes it mildly magnetic. Porterville jade from California sometimes falls in that category....Mel

Jade is fairly hard and tough too. carves well but not, I think easily. You could have serpentine which is softer but still has magnetite inclusions.....Mel

I do not know where you found it...but on the softer side, with ferrous content...I would suggest it is a gemmy serpentine....
