Many years ago, I bought a chunk of blue biggs on ebay. The auction went for a lot less than I expected. I cut a slice or two using my trim saw and decided that I wouldn't touch the chunk it until I had my slab saw. set up. I got some beautiful cabs from the pieces I cut. I waited some more until I felt I knew how to get the right cuts on the saw and I finally cut a few slabs. The slab from the face is on the left and the remaining two slabs will look like the slab on the right. I never expected that the first slabs would be the best. I cut another slab from the condor? agate and photographed it back lit.
