Did a little more growing today, and tried making my first groove wrap with a homemade solid silver bale welded to a old school morrisonite cab. I need to clean it up a little more then buff it, but happy how it turned out. Any tweaking, please I'm all ears. Thanks for checking it out.

Interesting and quite beautiful! Could we see a pic of the sides and back?

Interesting and quite beautiful! Could we see a pic of the sides and back? Thanks for all the great comments. Finished cleaning it up and took those pics as requested. Need to file out the center of the bale a little more, it's still a little out in the roundness dept. Not as good as a lot of ya, but in time and with some more hands on time I hope to get there. Side View. Back view. Sorry a little blurry.

Love the side shots of your pendant, spiritstone! Looks like you're a natural. How did you do that? (tools...tutorial maybe?)

Thanks, spiritstone! What type of torch are you using? Any tips on vids to watch? I was thinkn of going with a flame tip but I went with a fine tip solder gun elec on this one. I also have one with a flame tip I can try out next time and see what feels better in hand. Nothing really not hard to find on youtube for info I can think of, but if needing some visual reference it's a good place look also.

Beautiful! But I cannot figure out how did the cab fit inside the (already done, I suppose) frame.

Beautiful! But I cannot figure out how did the cab fit inside the (already done, I suppose) frame. Adrian I'm dyslexic and I made it backwards. Started with the cab first and built around it. Its a new way of doing things. lol Just experimenting as I learn different tricks. It really shouldnt work? but it did. Thanks.

Did you use a jewelry specific soft solder, or did you use electrical solder? There is a product called Stay Brite solder that is specifically made for jewelry applications. There is no lead in it, and it takes and maintains a very nice polish. It's great for applications like your pendant. Nice work and the stone is...Well, it's Morissonite, and that means "beautiful."

Thanks! I ended up using a electrical rosin solder lead free. Never knew of Stay Brite, just started to learn these technics and terms related to working with silver.
