Hello everyone. To make a long story short, I went to Pescadero Beach, San Mateo County. California. Lesson learned...no rain, no storms, no rocks. LOL. That being said, I found your typical small chalcedony pieces. But I also found three other pieces, one of which has a pleasant blue-ish hue in light (exaggerated in the photo due to my poor photography). So I assume these pieces are quartzite by the grain?? The larger one looks like it was a part of some brown matrix. All three have some translucency. I know quartzite beach pieces are mostly "leaverite", but I think these three would make interesting tumble pieces. *Addendum-Since I couldn't really a response, I made some close up photos. The blue-ish one is intriguing.

We tumble everything here at Trails End Farm including dog hair! LOL. Darling little Sadie Mae is a Pug..... Got a Pug you better love dog hair everywhere! She reminds me of the little boy on The Peanuts that had a cloud of dirt follow him! Only Sadie has a cloud of fawn hair... She's my baby.
