Not sure of the name but it's a nice one! How big is it? If big enough I would slice it up!

Where's it from ? I doubt that it's a Fairburn. The fortifications aren't right. If it was a Fairburn, I'd say don't cut it. Fairburns are worth more in collector value left as found, with possibly an acid bath & oiling.

The first thing I thought to look at was prairie or fairburn agate, not sure if that was it. The yellow and reds are easily translucent and some of the banding like the white is opaque, then in the middle of the banding is quartz. And then the tan/brown outer layer has some harder to make out banding going from opaque to slightly translucent then to the easily translucent red and yellow stuff. And the only location I know of is in the garage for the past 6 years lol. Figuring out how to take better pictures with a phone, so ill see if I can post some more in a few min
Edit: and it is 13.72 oz.

Not a Fairburn. The banding & fortifications are wrong. I don't even think it's a South Dakota agate. Wrong matrix.

Hmm.. 2nd guess was a Brazilian agate, but that doesn't think that is a match either. I guess the next thing for me to do is find a picture with the same dented pattern on the red and yellow part of the agate
