If anyone here has an old U.S. made Highland Park 24" slab saw could you please let me know what the dimensions at the base are when measuring from the outside edge of the legs, what is the total width from side to side, and the length from front to rear? Also what is the distance from the bottom of the feet (without castors)to the bottom of the reservoir? And also how many gallons of oil is required to fill to the proper height to use with a 24" blade? Thanks! Larry C.

Saw this this morning and was kinda hoping someone else would take care of this as I had to move a bunch of crap...
Here's what I got.
Outside edge legs: side to side = 35 1/2 front to back = 55
Overall Width = 35 1/2 (includes belt pulley guards) Overall length = 60 Didn't measure with hood open, but that's probably another good foot or more of space needed to the rear.
Legs to reservoir (not counting castors) = 14 3/4
Forgotten how much oil I used, not sure I even measured. Can find owners manual if you really need to know.
poo, reread your post - legs have "pads" at the bottom which I didn't measure, measured from outside edge of legs themselves.
BRB...
okay, "pads" mostly to underside of saw. Add less than 1/2 inch to legs measurements for footprint.
Height (which you didn't ask for) is roughly 45" without the castors and not counting the dome that covers the hood light. Also didn't measure hood open height.

Thank you very much captbob! I truly appreciate the info! I can probably calculate the approximate gallons of oil based on the dimensions you provided. Larry C.

My width and length were of the entire saw, not just the pan. Figured you were trying to figure out how much room one would take. You need the pan dimensions? Actually, they would be the same as the leg numbers... never mind

Assuming the oil depth to be 2" I calculate it would take about 16-2/3 gallons of oil. Does this seem about right? Larry C.

My 24" HP requires 15.5-16.0 gallons of oil depending on the blade. Hope that helps. Robert
