This is stromatolite. It looks identical to what I find on Delaney Rim in Wyoming, but the stuff I find is silicified.

So, that looks purple inside on my monitor. Is that so? It's obviously botryoidal and if purple inside with orbs, it could be Luna Agate out of Mexico......Mel

Thanks for the helpful comments, it is fairly purple on what can be seen of the inside, but no apparent pattern. Going to do some grind and polish of the broken places, too unusual in this area to cut up.
