In a rare Bi-Partisan moment, Congress is backing Socialist policy and limiting CEO pay! The House passed this measure and the Senate appears likely to follow; the President has indicated his approval of the measure.
The FHFA passed a bill allowing CEO compensation for Freddie and Fannie up to the 25th percentile for CEO's which would be around 7.2MM on the open market in the USA; by comparison their current pay is a paltry 600K.
It would be nice to see this bill applied to all companies; lots more people would have jobs. I know it is a hardship when you as CEO can only afford that 100K boat instead of the million dollar yacht but sometimes you have to take a hit for the team. Maybe your kids have to go to the public schools, God forbid!

Freddie & Fannie are government run institutions aren't they? I don't see a problem (or socialism) in the government setting the pay rates of government jobs. To do so in the private sector is an entirely different matter.
God forbid that ANYONE'S kids have to go to one of our public schools. Freakin' indoctrination camps.

Kinda makes one wonder why Hilary and Jeb would spend a billion or so for a $400,000 job. The only reason I like Trump is because can't be bought.

Extremely underfunded "indoctrination camps" because all the money goes to other governments or the war machine. Jim

Jim Yes I know that. That is why I think that Trump will win. He does not need donations. Can't beat a campaign that does not owe any paybacks. For the record, I would like to see a Cruz/Paul run for prez. Paul's tax plan looks real good.

Back then our war machine was pretty much killed by the Japs and the women built it back while the men fought. Too bad the canooks couldn't put out a little more effort. Have you done any checking into how much waste there is in our war machine dumb ass. We waste more than the other three leading countries spend combined. We are probably over 50 million per airplane at this point. One airplane wasn't going to make the grade but congress said to continue for some stupid reasons. Cut your losses and continue on with something that works. Are you waiting for us to save your ass again? Let all those people fight their own battles, it is not our job. Build up your own military. Jim Too bad the canooks couldn't put out a little more effort.Really Jim!! Were you smoking crack in history class? Fyi....Canadians were spilling their blood on the battle fields in both WW 1 and 2 long before you folks decided to join. Are you waiting for us to save your ass again? ?? Care to expand on that one. Build up your own military.I wish we would. But we have a little problem here. Its called leftwing liberal progressives. Keep downsizing your military and you will become us!!!!! As for the waste in your Military budgets. Thats a management problem. Easily fixed with a watchdog. And banning lobbyists. www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/08/12/white-house-lobbyist-ban_n_5672553.htmlMore than four years after prohibiting lobbyists from serving on some federal agency boards, the White House appears to be changing course. Politico reported Tuesday that registered lobbyists will now be able to serve on more than 1,000 industry boards, panels and commissions -- as long as they are advising a client. The changes will be reflected in new guidance from the Office of Management and Budget, which is set to go live Wednesday on the Federal Register.

He seems to veto's bills he shouldn't. This would be his best veto. Why not?

Just maybe they are looking back at France.
Poor can not afford auto insurance but a CEO of an insurance company makes $78,000,000.00 a year. Just makes you all warm and fuzzy when you think about all the people that $78,000,000.00 is putting to work. Gardeners, maids, pilots (air, land and water), lawyers (oops, the company probably provides those), ass wipers (his and hers) etc. etc. Jim

A private company can pay its employees what ever it wants to. What f--king right does the gov. have to limit what a private company does. Unless they are breaking laws, the gov. should mind their P's and Q's. Maybe a better rant for you Jim would be to block the insider trading that goes on in DC. Tell me how a elected office can enter office being in the upper middle class. And leave office in the top 1%? www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/house-minority-leader-nancy-pelosi-wealth-grows-62-35-2m-boehner-reid-worth-increases-article-1.130959

GREED, probably the number one killer of this country. A CEO does not give a rats ass what this country is coming to because he can go and do whatever he wants if everything crashes. You know they all have a stash somewhere. Trickle up does not work any better than trickle down. Same with the Waltons, they could pay a living wage to every one of their employees and not even see a glitch on their bottom line. PURE EVIL GREED WHEN YOU DO NOT TAKE CARE OF YOUR PEOPLE.
When I had my business the people that worked for me got paid first and if there was anything left over that was mine.
I would hop around on one foot for a year if every wally world employee just quit. The upper ass holes would see what their employees are worth
Recently saw an article where the price of a McDonald burger would go up 17 cents if the employees were paid 15 bucks an hour. I would be willing to bet that the majority of small businesses pay a living wage and the large corporations only reward the top people even if they don't perform. Plus they move their headquarters out of the country to stop paying the lowest corporate tax in many years. Not an ounce of pride in this country. Suck it dry and move on. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANYONE OR ANYTHING BUT THEMSELVES.
Yet they will spend billions to get their people elected so everything goes their way.
Do they have your ....... in their mouth or do you just like a country with nothing but rich and poor. Then bitch because people are on food stamps to feed their kids.
To your last question: KICKBACKS, THEY ARE ALL CROOKS, TOP TO BOTTOM. Jim

I think his problem from the get-go was not paying his top people enough. $41,000 is not even close to an upper management salary. Jim

A fine example of socialism and equality for the folks who are not "more equal".
