Why waste good oil when saws 10" and under will do just fine with plain old tap water ? Just drain the saw & spray the blade with any good penetrating oil after use to prevent the blade rusting.

You gotta wait for the stuff to ship but I definitely recommend a water based product with rust inhibitor. A bah-jillion times better than messing with the oil mess!

Definately stay away from the SAE oil, it is not made to be inhaled or soaked into your skin. Mineral oil or water are much safer.

I used mineral oil, and it worked well. I cut about 100 pieces. I used water and soap next. (the blade a 301 was getting to show ware). Then the cutting edge came off. Got lots to work on this winter.( if I am not on the beach.
