Well this is one of many things I will be finishing in the next few days.. I still need to make the fractures go away but this is what this thing looks like in the meantime... It measures 2 and 1/8 inch from lobe to lobe for size reference.. It has more shaping that is unseen because Each lobe has a mountain on it and a valley in between so to speak tapering off on the edges. This piece is a local jasper quartz epidote piece with ether green quartz or a prehnite band. The green colors don't really come through the best in the photo for some reason. I have 3 more hart pieces to finish soon and a set I need to finish.

That's pretty nice work! Very interesting combination of minerals in that stone.

This was actually one of my more difficult pieces.. mostly because of the valley in between the loves which was hard to polish and carve on the wheels.

This is another thing ive been working on... It is hand polished as of now but I may machine polish it... I beveled all the edges on my cabber... kinda making it a, very large, 1 sided cab. Only 4 more things to complete before I am caught up to make new things. makes me wish I had some 8 inch wheels now

I am not patient enough to attempt things like this. It is all I can do to finish regular shaped cabs.
Great job and look forward to seeing the completed works of art.

The only way to get better is to challenge ones self and try new things. Much can be learned from the success or failure of your attempts. Also for those that haven't seen I made this for the October challenge. Condor agate

Great work on all of them. I admire that you have plans for your projects and stick to the plan. I'm not that organized. That horse is AMAZING and the heart is very nice, too. Thanks for sharing.

I have 4 more things I need to complete before I can really start moving into new stuff.. well 5 if you include fixing my nelson saw to work again. All these need to happen before I can start other stuff. I just wish there was no such thing as college homework because it gets in the way of lapidary only 1 more semester of homework to worry about though!
