I felt so bad for DH. For my birthday he got me the bad as* light for the foredom pole. The one that turns off when you lift it... It's 3 ft long and uber awesome. Super quality, but.... it won't fit my space, too big. He had to return it. He was so disappointed, more than I was, I think. I put it out of my mind and a few weeks later another box came in for me. Hmmm, what is this, I wondered. Lo and behold, he got the two shelf arms that I wanted. I have the pole arm with a shelf with high sides and one that has the holes to hold foredom bits. YAY!!!!!! Happy dance! He also got the vice for the handpiece that makes it a stationary tool. SWEET! Happy late birthday, worth waiting for. For Christmas he enlisted my help choosing another tool. This time I got a nice dapping set. And, because I saw a great disk cutter on sale, I figured what the hell and I got it for myself. I always wanted a disk cutter. I got all of my Christmas shopping done and even had some tool money left over so I picked up a couple things more. I got a miter cutting jig. I've been wanting one, but they are so expensive! I got a small center finder, a couple hammers, a leather sandbag, a drawplate (for Foxtail chain), a quality set of drill bits, a few other small things and some copper to play with. I've been catching up on Nancy L T Hamilton and Soham videos. After Christmas will be metal time for me! I can't wait to get back to soldering and what ever else I feel like doing. I'll probably shut down my shop and play like I mean it for awhile. Happy me!

Can never have to many gadgets and tools. I found that unless I need a specific size/gauge or am out of discs it is cheaper to buy them already made. I used to make things out of the scrap but it seems like I generate lots of scrap otherwise. I vote if you have extra money...... more pliers...and then there is more pliers.

Tools, toys, what's the difference! Exactly none, in my book. Merry Christmas to you, too. I hope Santa brings you some tools, as well.

Tela I absolutely love tools, you got a super haul. The link for the miter cutting jig is broken for me would you mind either linking again or taking a picture for me. Sweet deal on the disk cutter!

Could you try it again, Tom? It works for me. I can take a picture of it when it comes in. It should come in handy. I checked a whole lot of them and reviews before I settled on this one. It is Euro made but half the cost of one at rio. Yeah, I thought the disc cutter was a good deal, too. Even came with the center punches.
