These were done on on wheels to 3k. Still battling aggressive and stiff resin wheels. Old stock Mexican Crazy Lace from a scrap. Wish I had more, it's stunning material. Montana agate with UFOs Tiger eye Wonderstone from marinedadRocky Butte from Donnie's Rocky TreasuresMoss agate? Some sort of jasper Teeny Sonoran dendritic rhyolite from Donnie's Rocky Treasures. This is a cab that broke in half so I finished each separately. The smaller one measures <1/2" in both dimensions, smaller than a dime.

Your cabs are terrific. You are a natural! I just would like to point out that you should wear protection when working tiger eye. It is natural asbestos. I don't like to work with it. But, I'm a little funny about some stones.

Michelle, After sandpaper, doesn't using a motorized machine feel like cheating? I like the UFOs in the Montana Moss agate. I see them quite often. Never seen one in the sky though! Lynn

Very nice!!! That "Some sort of Jasper" looks like a different cut of Rocky Butte. The darker spots in the blue are typical. I have several hundred pounds collected at the mine several years ago (Thank you, Dale) and almost all the blues are like that.

Great job on the machine made cabs. Tiger Eye is actually Quartz, its a pseudomorph of Crocidolite Asbestos so not dangerous as Asbestos, but breathing in the dust will cause health problems called Silicosis. Breathing in any Silica dust is a bad idea, this applies to all the stones you have worked there.
