I'm bored silly. We got the tail of the storm here on the VA coast. I'm glad we didn't get clobbered like some did, but we did get a lot of snow where we don't usually. It got rained away, but we are expecting more wintry mix tonight. The roads are already pure hell and icing over.

Not exactly snowed in, but the roads here have been covered with ice until yesterday. Hundreds of slide offs and many bad accidents started Tuesday afternoon.
Be safe if you have to get out!

Sorry man, that sucks. I'm bored and I'm home. I can only imagine what being stuck in a hotel would be like. DC did a bang up job of shutting down!

Today in the Rocky Mountain West-at least this part of it-40's, partly cloudy. Not so bad for January. You folks back east take care-been through that kind of crap before many times.

No snow here, but our hills are frozen over Popsicles. We had someone record the lowest temp here ever at -5.4 Celsius/22.2 Farenheit. At sea-level we recorded the coldest temp in 60 years and came very close to break the all-time record standing for a bit over 140 years.
I know in comparison to what you guys record right now, thats nothing. But don't forget, we are at the tropics of cancer, so everything is geared for heat, not cold. I for one kept my hands in my pockets while walking the dogs instead of the usual sanding.

Wish I had a couple in the freezer to throw on the smoker later this week. Gonna be 60 degrees here by the weekend!

Radio: Lots of hog damage on the ride but this time of year they only come around after dark. In summer they come out when it is still light and yes, we are becoming over run with the dang things...Mel

LOL. 34 Deg yesterday here in "frozen" South Dakota, and was 30 Deg when I got up this morning. Supposed to snow tonight & tomorrow, but only about 3" of that white crap expected by this time tomorrow. You east coast folks take care, and keep that white stuff over there this winter. We don't want it.

It seems to be settled that snow will hence forth be referred to as that "white crap". Couldn't agree more.
