Intheswamp maybe jamesp sent you an old mafia ball peen hammer. I heard those were pretty good at busting fingers, thumbs, and knee caps. That was the knee cap hammer. Had to get rid of it. Now it's a finger hammer LOL.

Get you a chair and a 2" X 10" about 20 inches long. Nail a sheet of 1/8 to 1/4 rubber sheet on it. Collect your cobbles in a 5 gallon. Set up your chair on the rock bar, 5 gallon next. Put on the reading glasses, sit down comfortably, put the lap board on your lap and chip away. Stop occasionally to enjoy the scenery and whiff up some fresh air. Throw away the trash and keep only the best. May only get 20% keepers with that quartzite. That way you don't carry home a bunch of duds. Exposed coral, Withlacoochee River, 95F July day. Perfect rock bars for cracking coral. Never had a boat pass, never seen a person on this one. Never seen any signs of rock hunters. What you see is about 50% limestone and 50% coral. May pack out 20-25 pounds of fine tumbles.

DNA samples, I gotta get DNA samples.....this hammer might be valuable....this might be the clue to finding Jimmy Hoffa. Books, movie rights, that hammer's gonna make me millions!!!!!!!!!!!! Fingers a little touchy this morning, it wiggles, it types, and it looks pretty good...but, I haven't taken the band-aid off, yet. I never thought about it, but band aid is two words...I always thought it was one word but in looking at it it does look weird spelled bandaid...for some reason it reminds me of Baghdad. And no, I've taken no pain meddykshuns....

You are using the flat side on that hammer ? The peen side fractures Ed. Must use flat side, hurts less too. Another coral exposure, Suwannee River. 100% coral. About one out of 30 is high grade, some very nice. Test batch from this particular shoal. It has been visited by rock hunters over the years. But wet season floods exposes new material every flood. Or you can set up the ole chippingchair out in the water. Most of the coral is lining the bottom of the river. Coral layer as being washed out from river bank. Note seep, spring water is salty from ancient salt deposit ?? The coral in this seep has the black border, typical color from salt water effect. Collect here for target before they wash into the river and mix with the degenerate corals. Fossils and part of an artifact. Beer tab. Silicified oysters upper left From same shoal 20 miles downstream A Four Once Hammer Hijack Production by Bruised Fingers Inc.

Btw, that's a nice looking area in your photos...nice coral, too, that's a heck of a test batch! And those slabs are really nice!!! Yep, been busting with the ball end of the hammer...I'm a slow learner. So that means I get to spread the impact of the hammer hitting the finger over a wider area, thus cushioning the blow (some). Ok, I can see it might not hurt as bad. Are you talking about fracturing rock or bone?

If I lived closer, there would be winches, comealongs, pry bars, big @$$ hammers and a hookah air set up involved and a small barge towed behind the boat:-)

All that to get rid of James?
Here I was thinkin' that all that would be needed would be Ed's hammer and maybe a shovel.

No shovel...they got gators down there...somewhere...I know there's something kind of like a football team by that name down that way. Of course, that tough ol' hide of James' might not be too appetizing to them overgrown lizards. Remember, we're dealing with James...he's probably got the hammer programmed to turn on the wielder of it at his command. We might just need all that stuff radio was talking about...maybe he's got a plan? Don't go up against James unprepared...didn't somebody put up a video of people doing stupid things? Going up against James unprepared would take top billing on that video...even if he is from Georgia...at least that's better than being from Florida.

The good doctor put the brakes on me about 5 years ago Ed. One too many injuries over the years. Both ankles done this way. I asked what brand drill he used-DeWalt rechargeable.
