Thanks Dave I call it Duncan Strawberry & Cream The rock is from Duncan, AZ. I was told that the found deposit was written up in a lapidary journa.l I bought the rock from Stick & Stones in Apache Junction Great heart making material some sort of jasper I would think...

Thanks Nate ! a little follow up on that my objective was to make a quartzite heart I hounded for a few quartzite pieces Friday This was the cut that I had to hertify After little grinding I realized this is NO quartzite. A quartz seam in sedimentary sand most likely. Certainly not welded sand. So the rock was a leaverite. that I made a keeper... right?

Yup. Leaverite like it is. It's a keeper in my book!
