After multiple tries of using the search method suggested above, my old muse "user error" sings.
I know I read a post about replacing the motor in a HR with a Lortone. Anyone able to help a brother out?
Keep on rollin' Colin

I replaced all the motors in mine with Lortone motors years back. There was a thread on here years back how to do it.I got longer bolts and used them to attach the motor. The ones on there are too short to the best of my knowledge.Been many years since I've changed them out.The thread gave the bolt number and length.

Thanks for the replies. So how does one deal with the drive shaft bearing coming out of wack? Replace with Lortone bearing/sleave? Put in a longer shaft? The drive shaft becoming out of alignment have been the downfall of all three of the HBtumblers that I have. I've gone through 4 in one year, and I felt that the good people at the local HB (no sarcasm here, I really like them) intimated that enough is enough. So when the most recent one died tge same fate after 6 weeks, I was hoping to salvage it. Thank you all for your learned replies.

Not saying against or for these cheap tumblers (never owned one-never will) Some people have good luck with them-some have terrible experiences with them....Just do the homework and read the reviews and ask hounders, they don't hold back on bad equipment and it's do's and don't!!!
