Basically what the title asks... Should you use a graded 220 grit in a Lot-O barrel or is 120/220 ok? Would the 120 grit tend to wear the barrel out faster than it should wear out? I've been using the ungraded 120/220 for my first two batches and the guy I got the machine from used 120/220 when he had it. Should I change to graded 220? Should I just go to bed and not worry about it?

120/220 is all I have ever used. I use 46/70 for stage one though so graded 220 would be a big jump.

I use both. I don't notice any difference. If I was doing the first stage in the Lot-O, I'd definitely use 120/220.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I had just got to thinking about it and figured I'd ask...I'll stay the course. My second load will be going into the polish stage today...I'll leave it over the weekend and see what I have Monday!
