This is the first piece of jewelry I've made from a rock that I found, an agate from Utah... This is it, what I've dreamed about since first getting back into rocks and subsequently into jewelry. I wanted to find rocks, make them shiny and maybe make jewelry from them. I've finally got the skills and selection of cool rocks to do it. Now I just gotta make a bunch more and get good at it...

Cool stone- nice glow. I like the twist in the back, too. It looks like you could do some filing and polishing on the left side, but it could be reflections.

Tim yep it looks good. Just keep at it and try to make small improvements each time. along the way you will find things that really work for you and then you build on them. The process of finding, cutting, polishing, and turning the rock into jewelry is very rewarding.

Tool marks are cool too, but the piece should be balanced: what's on one side should be on the other, equal curve, equally rounded end and tool marks or fine polished. Nontheless, a great start. You should be proud: my first piece was called 'recycling'
