OK, back to posting stuff. I thought I'd lost my muse, but what I had was a faulty torch. Got a new one and off I go!
This one is the usual type of copper wrap we've all been doing. I texturize mine. I'm actually showing this one because of this outstanding rock. There is just so much going on. About 2/3rds of the way down the r/h side, there is a little vug with what I believe is either drusy on amethyst or smoky. None of my loupes are good enough so I can tell.
This is a great little piece of Tiger's Eye. You can clearly see the asbestos fibers.
Awesome Kingman rock, trillion-esque. It's a big ring but sits really well.
Goshenite. Or Precious Beryl. Not sure of the difference. There are flashes of color in sunlight. I traded a piece of bumble bee jasper I got for $1 for this. Sorry pic is so dark. Photoshop just died on me and won't reinstall, so I have to go buy some kind of photo software. Thank you Windows update.
My art piece for the day. First time brazing copper tubing. Went a little overboard. Sanded the hell out of it, this is the best I can get. I was happy with it till the last thing I did was make those stupid dents. Grrrr. I can't get rid of them. Turquoise from who knows where on copper. Need to sand those swirlies some more.
Ack! I forgot to add this. I believe it qualifies as Spectralite, but could be plain old Lab. Never saw pink in Labradorite, tho. I left the back open cause the colors there are amazing, too. The bezel looks like it's a tight fit to the naked eye. Looks miles away here. And yes, the tube is a little off-center.
Thanks for watching!
