This was cut from a piece of rough purchased at Quartzite, and I'm inclined to think it came from Australia. Its somewhat soft and especially the brown matrix that bleeds brown when its cabbed. ID suggestions would be appreciated. I'll add another photo if possible. Thanks. Tom

Looks a bit like Autumn Jasper out of Africa but I thought Autumn Jasper was pretty hard.....Mel

It easily could be a jasper, but at least parts of the brown are a much more friable material. It does take a polish (despite my photos' inadequacies). Thanks for the guidance. Tom
