As many of you know, I hunt and fish, so am active in a few select outdoor organizations with roots here in Missouri. Recently, the United Bowhunters of Missouri, or UBM for short, had their annual fundraiser in Springfield, Mo, so I bought a factory cast sterling arrowhead pendant and added the letters "UBM" in 14 karat gold wire and donated it as an item for their auction at the banquet. It did well for them and the winner wanted me to turn it into a Bolo tie. I decided to cut two smaller arrowheads out of 16 gauge sterling sheet for the tips and indented them to simulate a flint knapped look. The arrowhead was narrow enough that commercially available Bolo slides stuck out past the edges, so I had to hand fabricate a sterling slide. I didn't have any sterling tube on hand, so hand rolled 22 ga and silver soldered on the smaller arrowheads to crimp on the bolo cord. Pretty cool project, and the owner really liked the end result
