I moved from the SF Bay Area to the high desert & often exclaim that I need a beach day (or week). Your pictures are not what I'm talking about! Brrrr. Lynn

Based on those two photo records, there's no reason you don't collect rocks 12 months per year. Its just that the beach is a bit narrower when there is snow and ice. Hang tough and grab those good ones. Tom

To this California kid, beach and snow do not go together! Nevertheless, beautiful!

Hang tough and grab those good ones. Tom Some years Lake Superior freezes completely over. Other years, there are giant piles of ice. If I had had waders, I could have walked that beach today though.

Sometimes you have to do what you do best but also being since able overrides everything. I would just buy some off eBay and say it was cold but Got these stones.

You said while 'we' were there. Did you leave your family in the car while you looked around? That definitely sounds like something I'd do. "I'll only be a minute, I swear..." If so, make sure to take the keys with you, or else you might be walking out of there.

Yep, my daughter and wife stayed in the car. For some reason they weren't interested in joining me. Everyone should n the car realizes that I will do my best to stop there every time we go by.
