Thinking of hitting Flint Ridge later this summer. Does anyone know if the rules have changed? I heard that the widow Nethers has passed on and don't know if anything is different.
When my son and I went in 2013 - it was $5 admission and $0.50 a pound. Still the same??

Hopefully someone has some info. Chuck

I googled for info, was taken to a forum discussion about the property, since Ms. Nethers death several years ago,the place is getting tore up from back hoes and etc digging there... From what I heard this was a big no-no with the family!

The Midwest Federation of Mineralogical and Geological Societies will be having a collecting trip to Nethers Farm on April 22. According to their President, the price is still $5 per person and 50 cents per pound. I will be there representing our local gem and mineral society, so I can get further info from the people leading the trip if anyone needs more info.

This would make a great 2 day trip from central Indiana.

Just sent out an email to our Midwest Federation president who lives in the area and collects there often. He will be letting me know about contact info for the Farm and their current situation. I have not been there yet but I thought others besides myself might like the information. Hope this will be of some help to folks...

Just got an answer from MWF contact...he says there is no change in Nether's setup. Public is welcome, rules are posted at the front door, $5 per person + 50 cents/pound, scale is at door, honor system with drop slot for payment. I am told there is some great stuff there whether you cab or knap...
Hope this is of use to you folks...
